Hanging out with the Beatles
I found this while looking through some old pictures. This is from Madame Tussaud's in New York City in 2004. This is before I was such a massive Beatles fan. I liked them then, but I wasn't a die-hard fan like I am now. So this picture delighted me on many levels. Notice how Ringo is looking right at me. It was meant to be, kids. ;)

So weird...
This is probably the weirdest video I've seen in a while, but 1:49 is worth it. So watch the whole thing. Besides, the part where he talks both cracks me up, and kills me at the same time. How I love Ringo. Why am I 25 in 2008 instead of some time between 1964-1974? Tell me this...haha.

Ah, to have been this age in the 1960s...if only.
This is a great Ringo video that I found on youtube. There are lots of Ringo fans on youtube and I thank them for their fun videos. This is the best one that I found, as far as the songs and pictures. Enjoy! (Watch it all the way through, because it plays several clips of his songs.) How can you not love him?

A Sad Story

Today I was talking to a friend of mine who is only 16 or 17. She saw the name Starkey, and asked me who that was. I told her that Richard Starkey is Ringo's real name. And...are you ready for this? Wait for it...wait for it...
She responded, "I'm sorry. I don't know who that is."
Silence.
Silence.
Silence.
And now, a special moment of silence for those of us who know and love Ringo.

1, 2, 3, 4...
As if the yellow submarine sailing through a psychadelic wonderland to that peppy, retro music that makes me want a bust a move right here in my bedroom isn't enough, cheeky dialogue follows, and then a catchy little ditty follows that! What more could one ask for? Tell me this. Tell me now.
I think Feist was channeling our favorite four a little bit with this song. Tell me what you think.

Christmas (Crimble) in October
I was going to wait until Christmas to post this, but I absolutely could not wait. It's one of the funniest things I've heard in a long time other than my favorite VP candidate Joe Biden's "ultimate bridge to nowhere" comment, which was EXQUISITE and marvelous. Nevertheless, here are the Beatles delivering a special "Christmas message" for the kiddos.

For the George fans...
Since George was the runner-up in our little poll, I have decided to give him his own post today. This is not a Beatles song, but I always liked this song, and never realized it was George Harrison until recently. Of course when this came out in 1987, I probably had no idea who the Beatles were since I was only 4 years old. Wocka, wocka, wocka! However, here is the song that I remember hearing as a child. Enjoy, loyal George fans!
